113 Challenge, Chat, Collaborate!

eLCC Faculty Professional Development Day

11/11/11

Collaboration is the Theme of the Day!

The eLearning Consortium of Colorado (eLCC) Faculty Development Day was on November 11, 2011 from 10-3:00 pm at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria campus in Denver.  The date is was easy to remember: 11/11/11 or eleven to the third power (eleven cubed).  Thanks to the nearly 100 attendees and the 22 faculty and staff members involved in planning and presenting at the 2011 eLearning Consortium of Colorado’s Faculty Professional Development Day!  Visit the Presentations page access the materials from the sessions.

Plan to join us for our annual conference, “Survivor or Lost: Exploring the Realities of eLearning.”  This three day conference is a great opportunity to share your expertise and network with colleagues.  Please mark your calendar now for April 11-13 and consider submitting a proposal to present at the conference.  Visit the conference website for more information.

Our goal is to bring together distance educators from a wide range of venues. Most of us in eLCC know the distance learning models of  higher ed  but K-12 is having great success and is growing.  What can we learn and use from those practitioners and what can they learn from us?

This day is about Collaboration-sharing best practices and information about distance teaching and learning with colleagues.  This is not your standard conference. You will not sit and listen for five hours.  There is no FREE lunch—you'll  earn it with your participation, your input and your expertise.

The 113 faculty development day will include opportunities for collaboration, a series of lightning lectures followed by in-depth roundtables on a variety of elearning topics and a lunch time panel discussion featuring K-12 online providers.  This event is FREE (and includes lunch and other refreshments) to faculty employed by eLCC member institutions but registration will be required.

Important:  We have reached capacity and registration is now closed. Click on the Register Now link to be added to the waitlist for this event.
